In Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Helena is suspicious because she believes Lysander and Demetrius' sudden declaration of love is a cruel trick, stemming from her deep-seated insecurity that they genuinely hate her, making her unable to accept their sincere (though magically induced) affections as real.
It's basically a camping trip, with a healthy dose of Kier Eagan propaganda — and marshmallows! — thrown in for good measure. But the ORTBO ends in chaos when Irving (John Turturro) figures out that Helly (Britt Lower) is actually her Outie Helena, who has been posing as Helly since the start of Season 2.
Helena is lovesick and suffers from unrequited. love at the start of the play. She tells Demetrius where Hermia and Lysander have gone to please him, but Demetrius then cruelly rejects her.
In the end, Helena isn't a typical villain. She isn't purely evil, but her actions are deeply selfish and morally wrong. She has a distorted need for connection and control, which drives her to cross boundaries without apparent remorse. And that makes her one of the most fascinating characters in the series.
Irv had a vision in his dream—the same one where he saw Burt—that spelled out, quite literally, that Helly was an Eagan. His subconscious told him this, and he saw it in a vision that took the form of the number-bunching task that he did in MDR so often.
Turns out, while Helena Eagan is a fetid moppet, she is motivated by one other thing: being obsessed with Mark S.
Each member of this quartet has been severed, which means they've had some kind of computer chip surgically implanted in their brains that allows them to completely divide their work lives from their personal lives — really, their work's consciousness from their other consciousness.
Seth Milchick, often referred to as Mr. Milchick or mockingly "Milkshake", is a character and one of the main antagonists of the Apple TV+ series Severance, portrayed by Tramell Tillman.
I think by saying, "I'm HER," she was appealing to iMark to empathize with Gemma's situation by drawing an analogy between Helly and Gemma. I.e., Gemma is trapped, involuntarily separated from the love of her life, and someone's partner.
Miss Huang, played by Northwestern University student Sarah Bock, is a new addition to the Severance cast this season. Several characters have expressed open puzzlement over why a child is now working in a position of authority over severed adults twice her age. So far, she's never answered those questions.
Demetrius was originally Helena's suitor but he abandoned her when he was given the chance to marry her friend Hermia. Helena's love for Demetrius is steadfast throughout the play. He, however, requires the intervention of magic to rekindle his love.
In what ways is Helena's behavior inappropriate for Athenian women? Athenian women are supposed to be very ladylike, but she is chasing around Demetrius and doesn't listen to him when he tells her to go away.
While there, Lysander and Demetrius fall under a magic spell that makes them both fall in love with Helena. She is confused, enraged and upset by this turn of events, eventually falling out with Hermia. By the end of the play, Demetrius falls in love with her and they get married.
Their purpose is one that dates back to the beginning of human civilization. Lumon's goats are sacrificial animals whose bodies are entombed with people Lumon kills. That's something they seemingly do so often they have a constant need for quality goats and have sacrificed many before.
According to Michael Scott's go-to dictionary, “fetid” is defined as “having a heavy offensive smell,” while “moppet” is defined as “child.” Essentially, Jame Eagan is calling his daughter a smelly child in wake of her jaw-dropping gala scandal. OUCH.
Dan explained on Reddit, “…we used cars from a lot of different time periods to give a slight sense of disorientation. At Lumon, the Innies are intentionally made to feel unmoored from time and space, and that bleeds into the town a bit too. We wanted the town to feel like an extension of Lumon in a way.”
The simplest explanation is that Helly is ashamed (and maybe even scared) to tell the truth, which makes complete sense, given the fact that her family is the reason they're all there in the first place. Perhaps she's unsure how her pals will take the news and is waiting for the right time to break the news.
Helena is a descendant of Lumon company founder Kier Eagan and grew up with her father, Lumon CEO Jame Eagan. Loyal to the Lumon corporation, she decided to undergo the severance procedure.
Perhaps the most important figure in Lumon lore, Kier Eagan served as the company's founder and its leader/CEO from 1865 to 1939. He is treated as a deity within Lumon itself, where oil paintings and writings detail his life and teachings.
Sarah Bock in "Severance," now streaming on Apple TV+ (courtesy of Apple TV+). In the second season of “Severance,” there's an unexpected character: a child supervisor named Miss Huang, played by actress Sarah Bock, who matter-of-factly explains she's a child “because of when I was born.”
In Wolverine: Old Man Logan, an alternate Mysterio serves as the archenemy of Old Man Logan, an elderly Wolverine tricked by Mysterio into killing the rest of the X-Men, with another alternate Mysterio serving as the villain of Spider-Man: Fake Red, becoming Venom.
Some view Kira as a murderer, while others think of Kira as "God." Kira becomes a religious figure to a large portion of the public. Many people who have been wronged by others largely view Kira as their savior and praise him, thanking him for bringing criminals to justice.
Sometime later, Lumon faked Gemma's death by staging a car accident on a night that she was out alone visiting friends for a game of charades. Though the exact circumstances of her kidnapping is unknown, Gemma's involvement includes turning her into a test subject for Lumon's experiments with the severance technology.
Relating all this back to Severance, the four tempers seem to represent the four temperaments as follows: frolic - sanguine, dread - phlegmatic, malice - choleric and woe - melancholic.
Figure 1: A portrait of Kier, hung in both the Macrodata Refinement office and Jame Eagan's private room. Kier Eagan is widely known as the founder of Lumon Industries; the namesake of the town of Kier, PE; and something of a local hero. Within Lumon, he's known as a messianic figure who the company serves.
