Diya Dinkley is a major character in Velma. She is the mother of Velma Dinkley and is voiced by Sarayu Blue. She went missing two years prior to the events of the series, and was eventually found in "A Velma in the Woods".
They are saved by Diya, who gets everyone safely to the surface in her van. Velma happily reunites with her mother, but when she asks who kidnapped her, Diya says she cannot remember. Diya is diagnosed with amnesia and she only has three days to regain her memories before they are gone forever.
