Mace Windu was one of the most distinctive members of the Jedi Order, so it was only logical that he carried one of the most distinctive Jedi weapons. Windu's saber had a plasma blade of amethyst – a brilliant warning to enemies that the Jedi Order's greatest champion was ready for battle.
Without a doubt, the most notable Jedi with a purple saber is Mace Windu, portrayed in the prequel trilogy by Samuel L. Jackson. Audiences first got a glimpse of the unusual blade in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, making Windu the coolest Jedi in one cinematic moment.
1 Other Legends Jedi Who Wielded Purple Lightsabers
They are: Ki-Adi-Mundi, who was shown wielding a purple lightsaber in Dark Horse's Star Wars comics. The Cerean Jedi was a member of the Council in the prequel era, but the comics gave Ki-Adi-Mundi a confusing backstory that has thankfully been erased.
The shading purple speaks to moral uncertainty, reconstruction, and recovery. Therefore, the individuals that used a purple lightsaber generally shared an affinity with both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
Black is the rarest lightsaber color in the world of Star Wars. For a while, the only known black lightsaber was the Darksaber, forged a thousand years ago and owned by a Mandalorian Jedi. However, the High Republic era revealed that at least one more Jedi had a black lightsaber.
Rey's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber that was constructed by the Jedi Rey Skywalker following the First Order-Resistance War.

Behind the scenes
The lightsaber's amethyst color was chosen by the actor portraying Windu, Samuel L. Jackson, who wanted a purple lightsaber because he was "the second baddest Jedi in the universe" and so he could find himself among the many Jedi featured in the Battle of Geonosis scene.
The Darksaber goes back to the time of Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian to become a Jedi Knight. He created a one-of-a-kind lightsaber with a flat blade of dark, swirling energy. In the Star Wars Rebels episode “Trials of the Darksaber,” Fenn Rau shared more of the Mandalorian folklore surrounding the weapon.
Silver Lightsabers
In Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi uses a silver lightsaber when he faces off against his former apprentice, Darth Vader. This represents the end of Kenobi's time as a Jedi and the beginning of his new role as a protector of peace.
Kylo Ren's lightsaber form was something of a hybrid, which blended three styles together: Djem So, Juyo, and Niman.
This single-bladed turquoise lightsaber was used by Tenel Ka Djo, a member of Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order. It was built in 23 ABY on the fourth moon of Yavin Prime, and the second of two very similar weapons.
