The "golden age for kids" has two main meanings: the first few years (birth to ~6) for rapid brain development (language, motor skills, cognition) and the middle childhood years (around 5-12) for emerging independence, cooperation, and athletic ability, often called the "golden age of childhood" before adolescence. Both periods are crucial, with the early years building foundations and middle childhood focusing on social skills, learning, and physical growth.
Birth to Three Years. Scientific research highlights the period from birth to three years as the 'Golden Period' of child development. The golden age covers the first 1000 days of a child's life, calculated from the time in the womb until the child reaches the age of two years. Generally speaking, the golden years begin at age 65 and last until age 80 and beyond. However, some experts question whether “golden years” still belongs in our vocabulary because the time span and definition of retirement have changed over the past half-century.

The 20-40 age group is broadly called Young Adults, encompassing the "20-somethings" (vicenarians) and "30-somethings" (tricenarians), often aligning with the Millennial generation, though specific labels vary by context (e.g., social science, marketing, or demographic research).
Plato in his Cratylus referred to an age of golden men and also at some length on Ages of Man from Hesiod's Works and Days. The Roman poet Ovid simplified the concept by reducing the number of Ages to four: Gold, Bronze, Silver, and Iron.
