Deku's mom, Inko Midoriya, has an unnamed Quirk called Attraction of Small Objects, which allows her to pull small items towards her body from a distance, essentially a minor telekinesis for tiny things like toys or utensils, though it's generally considered a weak or utility Quirk.
Izuku was raised primarily by his mother, Inko, who can make small objects float towards her. His father, Hisashi, whose Quirk allows him to breathe fire, is not seen because he is working abroad in the United States.
🔴 At some point in his life, Hisashi married Inko, who eventually gave birth to their son, Izuku. He took a work post abroad.
My Hero Academia: Deku's Unique Quirks Unveiled
Yes, in the manga's final chapters, Deku does lose the power of One For All, becoming quirkless again after the power fulfills its purpose of defeating All For One, though faint "embers" remain temporarily before fading, allowing him to transition into a new phase as a teacher inspired by his journey. The power's will was to end, not be eternal, making his final state a deliberate, poetic conclusion to its generational cycle, freeing him from the burden.
January 29th (1/29) is "Izuku Day" for fans of My Hero Academia because the numbers 1-2-9 can be read as "I-zu-ku" in Japanese (1=Ichi/I, 2=Ni/Zu, 9=Kyū/Ku), creating a playful phonetic pun for the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (Deku). It's an unofficial fan-created celebration, similar to December 9th (12/9), based on Japanese number-reading traditions.
Deku Awakens His Second Quirk: Black Whip!
Many would argue that All For One is the rarest of all the Quirks, but we believe it is New Order. Cathleen Bate, known as Star and Stripe, once wielded the Quirk until Tomura Shigiraki stole it.
yoichi's original quirk that he's had his whole life was the power to "pass on his quirk(s)". AFO gave yoichi the "stockpiling" quirk. the two quirks merged and formed OFA. that's why people say it originated with AFO, because OFA was created only after AFO passed yoichi the "stockpiling" quirk.
So... Tenya Iida got married to Sir Nighteye last weekend.
It is stated that this change in her appearance was the result of the guilt she felt towards Izuku's lack of a Quirk.
🥲 crying has always been a core part of his character, and people overlook the fact that he's still a kid fighting against the most powerful villain of all time. deku is genuinely pure and empathetic, so of course he gets emotional when he feels things deeply.
In Japanese slang, deku can also be an informal way of saying someone is “useless” or “can't do anything.” Ouch, right? But why would the protaganist from My Hero Academia be named “can't do anything”? There's a twist here! Deku (木偶) sounds very close to dekiru (出来) which actually means “able to”.
Quirk. Glycerin (グリセリン, Guriserin?): Mitsuki's Quirk gives her the ability to secrete Glycerin from her skin.
In My Hero Academia, Ochaco Uraraka is canonically confirmed as Izuku "Deku" Midoriya's romantic partner and future wife, with the series epilogue (Chapter 431) showing them start a relationship after the final war, where Deku acknowledges her as his personal hero and they openly commit to each other. While other characters like Melissa Shield were potential love interests in movies, Ochaco is the main character who shares a mutual, evolving romantic journey with Deku, culminating in their confirmed future together, as depicted in the manga's time skip.
My Hero Academia (MHA) features a few canonically LGBTQ+ characters, primarily villains, including Himiko Toga (bisexual) and two confirmed transgender heroes/villains, Tiger (trans man) and Magne (trans woman), who defy norms, while some other characters have fan theories or ambiguous hints but lack official confirmation.
It's probably a reference to the Apollo 13 moon mission where a bunch of stuff went wrong but the crew made it home safely.
The youngest student in Class 1-A from My Hero Academia is generally considered to be Mezo Shoji, often listed with a February birthday (15th or 25th), placing him among the last to turn 15 and making him the youngest of the 15-year-olds at the start of the series, along with Koji Koda and Tsuyu Asui.
THE QUIRK CALLED GOD GIVES THE USER THE ABILITY TO CREATE GODS WITH DIFFERENT POWERS.
Weather Manipulation: Nine's original Quirk allows him to control and manipulate the weather itself.
All Might's Hero Form is his original quirk: All Might was thought to be quirkless but after passing on his quirk he withheld some of the super strength and it eventually burned out yet he is still able to turn in his Hero Form.
Blackwhip grants the user the ability to produce energy tendrils from any part of their body and command them at will. These tendrils are black in coloration with a glowing light teal outline. This Quirk appears to be powered by emotions, primarily anger, meaning the greater the anger, the stronger the Quirk becomes.
