For fans of History Channel's series, Vikings, there seems to be the general assumption that Ragnar's relationship with his second wife, Aslaug, was a horrible situation. He tells Ragnar that he both hates him, and loves him with all his heart.
Ragnar used Athelstan's knowledge to better prepare for future raids, but as time passed and they got to know each other more, their bond became stronger, and Ragnar even admitted that he may have loved Athelstan more than Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård), another very close friend of his.
Sigurd. While all of Ragnar's sons are capable fighters, Sigurd is definitely the weakest of the five - and seems to be a fairly average Viking fighter, rather than someone who stands out as a Son of Ragnar.
