Many agents expect their talent to book at least one job for every 15-25 auditions they go on. If you fail to reach this number for an extended period, you could face the possibility of being dropped the next time your agent reviews their roster.
40-60 Submissions – This is how often full-time, working actors submit themselves (whether they have an agent or not) each month. 10-20 Auditions – This is how many times full-time working actors audition (or at least record and submit self-tapes) each month.
A booking ratio is exactly what it sounds like: two numbers that represent how many jobs you've booked compared to how many auditions you've had. So if your ratio is one out of 20, that means it took 20 auditions for you to land one job.
There are tens of thousands of actors and a few dozen roles each week for TV series. Don't practice too much the day before the audition.

If you're just starting your career and don't have many credits yet, focus on getting a manager. Your manager can help grow your career, submit you consistently, and eventually help you get an agent when you're ready.

It's never too late
