Big Mom decided to give Kaido, who at the time was just an apprentice, her Mythical dragon fruit. Kaido ate it for himself. However I believe that Kaido also got a rare fruit of his own, but he gave it to his child Yamato. Whitebeard gave his phoenix fruit to Marco.

Yamato is Oden's daughter and has been referred to as such; however, on numerous occasions, Yamato has been called "Kaido's son." Even Kaido openly calls Yamato his son, causing confusion over the character's gender identity.
While fighting against Kaido, he showed all the different versions of his devil fruit, including an awakened form. Like Luffy and Lucci's awakened forms, Yamato too had a cloud of smoke surrounding him. While it has not been officially confirmed, it is highly likely that he has awakened his devil fruit as well.
