People unsend messages when they're sent by accident. Maybe she sent you a message that was actually meant for a friend, or maybe she meant to message a different person with your same name. With the unsend feature, she might have just quickly removed the message so she wouldn't have to explain her mistake.
Part 1: What Happens When You Unsend a Message on Messenger? The unsend message feature deletes a message for both the sender and the recipient. For example, you can use this to recall a message on Messenger group chat or a wrong direct message (DM). There are two unsend options; Unsend for Everyone and Unsend for you.
Deleting or unsending messages to hide something: If someone deletes or unsends messages in order to hide something they said or did, it could be considered childish and dishonest. It's important to take responsibility for our actions and words, and not try to hide behind deleted messages.
You can only take back a message within two minutes of sending it. The recipient can read your message before you unsend it. If you unsend a message, it will disappear from the recipient's screen, but they'll be notified that you unsent it.
Recipients will receive a text alert telling them that something was deleted from the chat, and recipients can still see and read the messages you've “unsent” via that notification.
Keep in mind that once the message sends, the other person can see it. When you delete a message in Messenger, you only delete it for yourself. The other party can still see it. But you can overcome this by unsending a message.
Some of the following steps only work on Android 6.0 and up. Generally, open the Message app, touch and hold each conversation, and tap Delete. If you take advantage of Messages as your default messaging app, the deleted conversations will also be deleted from your device.
Why would someone delete their message if you don't respond fast enough? Because they changed their mind about messaging you. Either the message is no longer relevant or they felt like removing it was in their or your best interest.
Unsending your message will delete it from your phone and from any device you sent it to. In its place, you and the recipient will see a message saying that a message was removed.

The removed message will be replaced by text alerting everyone in the conversation the message was removed. You will have up to 10 minutes to remove a message after it is sent. If you want to remove a message just for yourself, you can still do that anytime by selecting “Remove for You”.
For basic privacy: Speaking of your partner checking the phone, which is totally not acceptable, privacy is one more legit reason why people delete their text messages and browser history. Whether or not they have flirted with someone else, your partner is entitled to basic privacy and space.
This week, Apple released its latest operating system, iOS 16, which lets users edit an iMessage up to five times within 15 minutes after sending it and unsend any message up to 2 minutes after it's sent. Users just need to tap and hold the sent message, then select “edit” or “undo send.”
Boundaries and expectations should be set early in a relationship. Just because you haven't had sex with someone else doesn't mean you are being faithful. Emotional affairs, work spouses, deleting texts, and keeping in touch with exes can all be forms of infidelity.
Your previous messages between yourself and the person you're blocking won't be deleted, so you have to manually delete those messages if you don't want them.
When you block someone's Facebook profile on Messenger, it also blocks their profile on Facebook. They won't be able to message, call or find your Facebook profile. If you're Facebook friends, blocking them also unfriends them. Profiles won't be notified when you block them.
To find out if someone has blocked you on Messenger, you should first send them a message. If your message is not delivered, even after the recipient has been online, you're most likely blocked. To tell if your message isn't delivered, it will have an empty circle with a check mark for an icon.
If you deactivate your Facebook Messenger, your profile won't appear in its search results. However, your messages and comments will still be visible. So, if you deactivate Facebook and Messenger, what happens to messages? Well, all the messages you sent will still be visible to others.
People unsend messages if they feel a little awkward or embarrassed about them, so it could be the reason why she unsent hers. She might have also sent something a little forward, and then felt weird about it later on. She could have also messaged you something while she was drunk, and then unsent it in the morning.
Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and open the Recycle bin. Check your deleted text messages. Long tap the message you want to retrieve. Select Restore at the bottom and check the same in your primary inbox.
It could mean a few different things. It could mean that she is trying to hide something from you, or that she doesn't want to be reminded of certain conversations. It could also mean that she is trying to protect her privacy, or that she doesn't want to keep unnecessary clutter on her phone.
User Has Blocked You
One of the reasons you may not be able to unsend a message after you've sent it is that the recipient blocked you. If you sent someone a message but didn't unsend it immediately afterward, they probably blocked you in the time that passed between sending and attempting to unsend.
No blocking in facebook won't delete message it just stops you from connecting to that individual and stop sharing future post and messages. After blocking then you have to delete conversation with him/her.
