Harry's hands burned Quirrell because of the ancient, powerful protection left in Harry by his mother, Lily's, sacrificial love; this protective magic, alien to Voldemort's evil, caused severe burns and blisters on Quirrell's body, which was inhabited by Voldemort, when touched, eventually forcing the Dark Lord to flee and leaving Quirrell to die. This magical shield activated because Voldemort, possessing Quirrell, sought to kill Harry, triggering the love-based defense that couldn't harm Harry but destroyed the vessel hosting the Dark Lord.
During the 1991-1992 school year, Quirrell wore a purple turban to hide Voldemort's face. This possession allowed Voldemort to keep a physical form after his downfall. When Quirrell came into contact with Harry Potter, his skin would burn due to the protective magic Harry's mother left on him.
In the book, Harry's touch only burns Quirrell; he doesn't turn him to ashes. Harry passes out at the end of the fight before Quirrell dies (who does so because Voldemort abandons him and flees to Albania again), so Harry never witnessed him die.
Harry had passed out before Quirrell died and was only told about it by Dumbledore in the last chapter. He did, however, witness the murder of Cedric, and it is this that makes him able to see the Thestrals at last.
'I returned to my hiding place far away..." He was once again a disembodied soul, unable to use magic as he did not have any physical form, weak and helpless. He only managed to regain a weak human form as seen in the Riddle house when Wormtail helped him concoct a potion.
There's no single "saddest" death, as fans cite different characters, but Dobby, Sirius Black, Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, and Snape are consistently named among the most heartbreaking due to their profound loyalty, tragic lives, or sudden, impactful losses, with Dobby's selfless sacrifice often topping lists for his pure heart and newfound freedom, and Fred's death devastating his twin George and family, notes Quora and Facebook users https://www.facebook.com/groups/309399756202202/posts/2389613828180774, and Reddit.
In 1943, Tom Riddle, the "Heir of Slytherin", opened the Chamber of Secrets to conduct a purge on Muggle-born students. This resulted in the death of Myrtle Warren, who eventually returned as a ghost. Riddle opened the Chamber again in 1993 through the use of one of his seven Horcruxes, his diary.
Voldemort found Nagini in Albania after his initial defeat, likely while he was a weak spirit possessing snakes; she was a unique, powerful snake, possibly a Maledictus (a witch with a blood curse turning her into a beast), making her an ideal companion, and he eventually made her his final Horcrux by murdering Bertha Jorkins with her present. Their connection deepened as he used her venom to sustain himself and later made her a container for his soul, ensuring their bond was profound and twisted.
Snape explained in Half Blood Prince that he didn't know Voldemort was with Quirrell. Snape explained to Voldemort that had he known, he would have helped Quirrell retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone (Philosopher's Stone for my English friends). Snape genuinely thought that Quirrell was trying to steal it for himself.
Following Dumbledore's death, Fawkes sang his Lament over the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and then flew away, never to be seen again. His tail feathers were the cores of the two twin wands which were held by Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter.
Quirrell found out how to get past Fluffy earlier that year by enticing Hagrid into a card game, offering a dragon egg as the stake, and getting him drunk enough to disclose the secret of how to pacify the otherwise vicious dog.
He didn't kill Voldemort at all. He used Expelliarmus, but the spells clashed in midair and- given that the Elder Wand refused to kill its true master outright- Voldemort's Avada Kedavra bounced back AGAIN and hit him instead. Without any Horcruxes to keep him tethered to life this time, he dies once and for all.
In May 1992, it was slain by Hogwarts Professor Quirinus Quirrell, so Lord Voldemort, who was possessing his body, could drink its silvery blood to return to power. Later that night, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, students who were in detention at the time, encountered hooded Quirrell and the dead unicorn.
Once snape realized this he said out of context “but he thinks it's her son.” Another way to say this more completely would be “I told Voldemort about the prophecy and I would be ok with whatever he decided to do, but HE THINKS ITS LILY'S SON HARRY and now he's going to kill the whole family and more importantly Lily ...
On page 53, in the list of school supplies that Harry receives from Hogwarts, the item “1 wand” must appear twice, once at the beginning and once at the end. This mistake was corrected in the second printing of the book (although it re-appeared in some later printings).
Harry Potter was saved by his mother Lily Potter, when she lovingly sacrificed herself for him after she refused to stop shielding him from Lord Voldemort, despite having been given the choice to live.
While giving his tears was an impulsive act, it also symbolized his loyalty and dedication to Lily Potter's memory and Dumbledore's plan. Snape knew he would not survive and that Harry needed to know the truth before confronting his fate in the Forbidden Forest.
Harry had passed out at the time, he did not actually SEE Quirrell die. He fell unconscious before Quirrel actually died. Harry passed out before he died. He didn't find out until he woke up in the hospital wing the next day.
Yet, like people with antisocial personality disorder, they neither care about the feelings of others nor sympathize with other people because they can only think of themselves. Tom Riddle's new name, Lord Voldemort, reflects an essential characteristic of narcissistic personality disorder.
Most likely Voldemort's closest companion, Nagini was a Maledictus who had once been a human woman but due to this blood curse was now permanently a snake – losing all sense of humanity.
While Credence is a Dumbledore, he isn't the brother of Albus, Aberforth and Ariana. In fact, he's Aberforth's secret son! Aberforth met Credence's mother the same summer that Albus and Grindelwald met.
Until then, Voldemort required the potion every few hours to keep his crippled body alive, and Pettigrew had to continuously milk Nagini for the venom to keep feeding his master.
Harry is the heir of Gryffindor, although he had characteristics of both Slytherin (cleverness, resourcefulness, determination) and Gryffindor (bravery, honor, recklessness, chilvary). It is why Harry was able to claim the Sword of Gryffindor.
He trusted snape because snape had proven himself many times before. Voldemort took anyone that was magical and had his own ideas in common during his first crusade.
The creator gave this unique wand the ability to sleep and to wake up again when instructed by speaking Parseltongue to it, a rare gift that gave one the ability to speak with snakes, and a trait that was passed on through Slytherin's family.
