Shimotsuki Koushirou is a master swordsman and was a distant relative as well as the teacher of Roronoa Zoro. He is also the father of the late Shimotsuki Kuina and son of Shimotsuki Kozaburo. He is the master of Isshin Dojo in Shimotsuki Village.
