It is commonly thought that Nyx is the only goddess that Zeus is truly afraid of because she is older and more powerful than him. This traces back to one story in which Hera, Zeus' wife and goddess of marriage and childbirth, works together with Hypnos, the god of sleep, to trick Zeus.
Later Kronos threw up the children that he ate and then there was a 10 year war against Cronus and the other Titans. The gods eventually won and overthrew the Titans. Zeus then cut up his father Cronus and threw him into the pit of Tartarus.

Poseidon's Family
Poseidon was the second son of Cronus and Rhea (after Hades) and their penultimate child (before Zeus). Hestia, Demeter, and Hera were his sisters. Like all of his siblings aside from Zeus, Poseidon was swallowed by Cronus at birth and, thanks to Zeus, afterward disgorged unharmed.

Thanatos, in ancient Greek religion and mythology, the personification of death. Thanatos was the son of Nyx, the goddess of night, and the brother of Hypnos, the god of sleep. He appeared to humans to carry them off to the underworld when the time allotted to them by the Fates had expired.
Personality. By all accounts Poseidon was not specifically evil but rather just casually cruel. He frequently fought with his brother.
Poseidon was furious with Odysseus and his crew because they blinded his son, the cyclops Polyphemus. Even before this, however, Poseidon was not happy with Odysseus, since Odysseus fought for the Greeks in the Trojan War, while Poseidon favored the Trojans; the Greeks were ultimately victorious.
