While initially a problem, as Zeke has been Eren's enemy for the whole story so far, Eren eventually learns of Zeke's mass euthenasia plan through his co-conspirator Yelena, and realizes he can pretend to be aligned with Zeke to ultimately use Zeke's royal lineage for his own goals.

A tense moment in both anime and manga is where Eren has a talk with Armin and Mikasa in Marley after Sasha's killer was revealed. He tells Mikasa that he always hated her and that it's her Ackerman blood that ties her to him, not love of any kind. Eren even calls her a slave, which deeply wounds Mikasa.
How Eren treats his friends is one of the most interesting aspects of his character. He always makes it clear how much he loves his friends, but at the same time very confused by the idea that they might love him. He wants to love others, but he doesn't want to be loved.

1 Hero: He's Technically A War Hero
His offensive against the Marley convene is well-appreciated by the citizens and he's definitely gained some following. In the eyes of the Eldians of Paradis, Eren is a war hero who can keep ensuring that Paradis will win the war.

After a 25-minute standoff two of the police officers, Constable Rodney Podesta and Senior Constable Anthony Dilorenzo, shot Roni Levi four times. Levi, who died from his wounds soon after, was 33 years old.
Zeke, the inheritor of the Beast Titan, is Levi's greatest enemy. The two have fought in many epic battles throughout the series and are very close in strength.
After being kidnapped in her youth by bandits and subsequently rescued by Eren, Mikasa has pledged her life to her companion. Similarly, she protects Armin from street bullies. Because of this pledge, she is physically stronger than both the boys and is constantly beating up their enemies.
