While all MBTI types can procrastinate, INTPs, ENTPs, INFPs, and ENFPs (NP/IP types) are often cited as highly prone due to their love for exploring options (Ne) or deep analysis (Ti), getting lost in "what ifs," or seeking novelty, while ESxPs (like ESTPs) might delay long-term plans for immediate thrills, with INFJs potentially procrastinating due to perfectionism.
As hypothesized and consistent with previous studies, procrastination was highest in the youngest cohort (14–29 years). We have not found a consistent sex effect, however, only in the youngest (and most strongly procrastinating group) from 14–29 years, men procrastinated more than women.

The ADHD "30% Rule" is a guideline suggesting that executive functions (like emotional regulation, planning, and impulse control) in people with ADHD can develop about 30% slower than their chronological age, meaning a 30-year-old might function more like a 21-year-old. It's a way to set realistic expectations, acknowledging that ADHD affects maturity levels, prompting caregivers to adjust demands to a younger "executive age" to reduce conflict and frustration, focusing on supporting the individual at their developmental level rather than their chronological age.
