There's no single "smartest" MBTI type, as intelligence varies, but INTPs (Logicians) and INTJs (Architects) are often cited as highly intellectual due to their focus on logic, abstract thinking, and complex ideas, with ENTPs and INFJs also frequently mentioned for their insight and creativity, often appearing overrepresented in gifted populations. The "smartest" type depends on the kind of intelligence (theoretical, practical, emotional, linguistic), with NT types generally leading in analytical domains, but all types possess unique strengths.
INTJ: Often seen as intellectually incline, INTJs tend to be analytical, strategic thinkers who enjoy complex problem-solving and abstract thinking. Here are some characteristics of INTJs that can be seen as indicators of intelligence: Analytical and Critical.
Quick Thinkers – ENTP personalities have tremendously flexible minds and are able to shift from idea to idea with little effort, drawing on their accumulated knowledge to prove their points, or their opponents', as they see fit.
Stereotypically people will point towards the Analysts (INTJ, INTP, ENTJ, ENTP) as the "smart types", probably saying either INTJ or INTP is the "smartest type".
Sixteen personality types: The most common types among gifted adolescents were INFP, INTP, ENFP, and ENTP, which constituted nearly 50% of the gifted sample compared with 19% of the normative group. The most common preference among gifted adolescents is intuition.
All intuition dominants (INTJ, INFJ, ENTP and ENFP) score very high on IQ scales. Rationals are likely to be more intelligent than guardians. Likewise, thinking dominants (INTP and, ENTJ) also score higher than average. The more intelligent you are, the more likely you are to be introverted.
Both types are said to have high levels of thinking. Infj's are said to be emotionally intelligent while intj's are said to have a higher IQ.
What is the INTP personality type (The Thinker)? People with an INTP personality type tend to be extremely analytical, objective, and logical in their behavior. They love exploring new theories and ideas, which means they're often responsible for amazing discoveries in their field of choice.
The most rebellious personality types include the ENTP, INTP, ESTP, and ISTP, while some of the least rebellious are the ISFJ, ESFJ, ESTJ, and ISTJ.
MBTI in Team Dynamics and Organizational Settings
Leadership positions are often held by Extraverted and Judging types, with ENTJ and ESTJ being common among CEOs.
The MBTI functions and attitudes that most correlate with ADHD are the intuitive (N) function and perceptive (P) attitude. People who score high on these dimensions have more chances of portraying ADHD symptoms.
Overthinking is a big problem for both INFJ personality types and INFP personality types. As a writing coach who specializes in working with both types, I've seen that overthinking is tied to INFJs and INFPs struggling overall with creativity, feeling connected to their intuition, and life in general.
As shown in table 2, the most frequently occurring type for this sample is ENFP (15.2%), followed by INFP (10.5%). The least common types are ESTP (1.2%), ISFP (2.0%), and ESFJ (2.0%).
What Personality Types are Most Polite?
An INTJ is one of the sixteen personality types in the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator system. The acronym INTJ stands for “introverted, intuitive, thinking, judging.” Colloquially, this personality type is known as “the architect,” “the mastermind,” or “the strategist” type.
According to some researchers, INTP for IQ and ENTJ for EQ (No joke, in some research in 2019 they find out that ENTJs has the highest EQ among all).
The Joker being an ENTP personality type, he possesses certain personality traits that align with this classification. One of the key traits for ENTPs is their dominant Extraverted Intuiting (Ne), which is one of the eight cognitive functions that individuals use to take in information.
ISFP. Easygoing, creative, spontaneous, and modest, ISFPs may be more likely than others to self-medicate with substances. One study compared personality traits among people struggling with addiction. The researchers found ISFP to be one of the most common MBTI types among those who also struggled with a mood disorder.
INFJ personality types and INFP personality types are two of the MBTI personality types that tend to struggle with unhappiness in life.
People with the INTJ personality type (Architects) are intellectually curious individuals with a deep-seated thirst for knowledge. INTJs tend to value creative ingenuity, straightforward rationality, and self-improvement.
INFJ personality types and INFP personality types are two of the most intuitive personality types in the MBTI personality type system. Many people believe that the intuition of INFJ personality types and INFP personality types comes from both types being very observant, and subconsciously picking up on physical cues.
The Eight Dominant Processes
Jesus' ministry was steeped in compassion. He wept at Lazarus' tomb (John 11:35), he touched lepers when no one else would (Matthew 8:3), and he welcomed children when others dismissed them (Mark 10:14). His actions embodied the INFJ's instinct to prioritize people's emotional and spiritual well-being.
Computer programming, engineering, and running a business are all popular fields for INTJs. Some people with INTJ preferences also choose more creative careers—such as those in writing or film—because they like to use their visionary minds to create their own worlds.
