Store the damp towel in a plastic zipper bag until you get home. If you're short on time and don't have drying space, tossing the damp towel in a plastic bag may be your best bet.
Hang them on a towel rail
One of the best ways to dry towels in your bathroom is to install a towel rail. Towel rails are available in a number of different types and styles to fit any space.
Do not fold your towel before hanging it. Instead, spread your towel out horizontally, then drape it over the hook. The towel should form a neat, triangular shape when on the hook. Hooks are great for hanging wet towels, as they let towels dry more quickly with less chance of odor.

Oven handle: This is the probably the most common spot people hang kitchen towels because it is a generally a central focal point of the kitchen. Oven handles often provide enough space for upto 3 towels.
Use a long, durable article of clothing and hold either end in each hand and twirl the piece loosely in front of your body (similar to the motion of twisting a towel to snap it). This will cause a small vortex of air to dry off your skin.
Towel bars allow towels to dry without being bunched up, so they dry faster than towels might on a hook or ring. Towel bars come in multiple lengths, so you may want to measure your bath towels and choose a bar that's long enough to accommodate your favorite set of bath towels.
The next time you're staying at a hotel, when done with your towel, leave it hanging or on the sink. It's one less towel the staff need to pick up from the floor.

Hang It On a Towel Bar
Towel bars come with a single or double rod, in various lengths and sometimes have a shelf on top to store extra towels.
There are a number of ways to display towels that will go a long way toward improving the look of your towel rack. Hanging towels in a contrasting manner, folding in the ends, rolling them tightly and creatively folding towels to look like accordions or swans can refresh the look of your bathroom.
