Why is green so prevalent in the Muslim world? Because it was supposedly Mohammed's favorite color. The Islamic prophet is said to have worn a green cloak and turban, and his writings are full of references to the color.
He had black eyes that were large with long lashes. His joints were rather large. He had little hairs that stood up, extending from his chest down to his navel, but the rest of his body was almost hairless. “He had thick palms and thick fingers and toes.
Dates (Khajoor)
One of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH's favorite food items were dates. Found in large numbers in Saudi Arabia, the Prophet would eat dates whenever he could. He said that a house without dates is no house and dates are also essential during childbirth.
The liver from sheep and camel was one of the favorites. The Prophet Muhammad ate the liver of a slaughtered sheep with bread. He also liked cooked brain served to him.
Lagenaria siceraria (gourd) was liked very much by The Holy Prophet (Sallallaho Alayhi Wassallam).
Banana. The banana is also considered a fruit of paradise, and although today it is seen as a common fruit, it holds numerous health benefits that can help maintain a balanced body.
One of the significant drinks of Ramadan is Nabeez or Nabidh. A Sunnah and favourite drink of the Prophet Mohammed SAW. Traditionally made with either dates or raisins, but never mixed. Nabeez has many health benefits.
Muhammad, fearing that he was being attacked by an evil spirit, fled down the mountain in terror. The voice called after him, "O Muhammad, you are the messenger of God, and I am the angel Gabriel." This revelation was soon followed by others about the one true God.
In most Muslim traditions, Khadija bint Khuwaylid is described as Muhammad's most beloved and favored wife; Sunni tradition places Aisha as second only to Khadija.
Negative representations of blue (and green) eyes in Arabic literature and art were ubiquitous in pre-Islamic Arabia, and even continue to appear today in such popular symbols as the blue-eyed devil, a key figure in the Nation of Islam's theology, and the evil eye, which is always rendered blue.
“In our religion, attitudes, behaviours and beliefs that attribute the ultimate influence on anything other than Allah are forbidden. For this reason, it is not permissible to wear evil eye amulets and similar things around the neck or anywhere for the purpose of benefiting from them.”
The prophet Jeremiah, who apparently chose not to have children, is the only prophet who did not marry.
She said: "Zaynab was my equal in beauty and in the Prophet's love for her." Umm Salama said of Zaynab: "The Messenger of Allah liked her and he also used to become vexed with her." On two occasions, when Muhammad divided a gift of food among all his wives, Zaynab was displeased with her portion and sent it back to him ...
In moments of extreme difficulty, the Prophet's response was to turn to Allah. The manner and extent to which he ﷺ confided in Him, however, is truly Prophetic. The Prophet ﷺ abandoned every facet of his world and turned to his Friend.
—O Allah, be my witness. Never go back to being unbelievers, smiting each other's necks, for verily, I have left among you that which if you take it, you will never stray after me: the Book of Allah.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “No person suffers any anxiety or grief and says this supplication, but Allah will take away his sorrow and grief, and give him in their stead joy. Having said that, however, Muslims are not immune to the feeling of grief or depression.
Many Muslims believe that Muezza (or Muʿizza; Arabic: معزة) was Muhammad's favorite cat. Muhammad awoke one day to the sounds of the adhan. Preparing to attend prayer, he began to dress himself; however, he soon discovered his cat Muezza sleeping on the sleeve of his prayer robe.
Pomegranates are thought to have been the prophet's favorite fruit, and modern scientific research has proven pomegranates to be one of the healthiest foods on the planet.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) always drank water in (at least) three sips and also advised others to do the same. Always praise Allah (SWT) after drinking water by saying “Alhamdulillah.” The person serving water to others should be the last to drink it.
In Islam, 786 is often used to represent the Arabic phrase Bismillah.
Bananas – A Fruit of Blessings
Stated in the Quran, “Amid thornless lote-trees, and banana-trees (with fruits), one above another, and extended shade, and water flowing constantly, and abundant fruit, neither intercepted nor forbidden.”
In Islamic tradition, the fruit is commonly either identified with wheat or with grapevine.
Fāṭimah, also spelled Fatima, also called al-Zahrāʾ (Arabic: “the Radiant One”), (born c. 605, Mecca, Arabia [now in Saudi Arabia]—died 632/633, Medina), daughter of Muhammad (the founder of Islam) who in later centuries became the object of deep veneration by many Muslims, especially the Shiʿah.
Khadijah was the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), whom he met as a widow of a wealthy merchant but had become prosperous in her own right. She hired Muhammad (pbuh), as a business agent but soon came to see him as a suitable husband.
