When you are scared or anxious, several Surahs from the Quran are recommended for comfort, reassurance, and protection. The entire Quran is a source of guidance and healing, but specific chapters are known for their profound ability to ease the heart and mind.
Surah Ad-Duha (Surah 93) is frequently recommended for those experiencing depression. This surah was revealed to comfort Prophet Muhammad (SAW) during a time of distress and serves as a reminder of Allah's mercy and the promise that ease will follow difficulties.
So, when we are in fear, let us recite: "Hasbun Allah wa na'ma al-Wakil" , when we feel sadness or in the state of anguish, let us recite: "La Ilaha illa illa Ant. Subhanaka inni kuntu min al-Dhalimeen".
Here are a few practices rooted in our faith that can help ease your burden:
Allah (swt) says in Surah Al Baqarah, (2:155) “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.” This verse reminds believers that fear, like all hardships, is a temporary trial meant to strengthen their faith and character.
Let me reiterate, the feeling of anxiety itself is not a sin, just as having the feeling of fear is not a sin. Throughout Scripture, God is not concerned that we never have certain feelings. Rather, he's concerned with how we respond to those feelings.
To get your dua (supplication) accepted, focus on sincerity, perfect your etiquette (praise Allah, send blessings on the Prophet), have firm yaqeen (certainty) in His response, perform good deeds (like charity), repent for sins, and make dua at key times (like after prayers or during hardship) with humility and focus, understanding Allah responds in the best way, even if not instantly as you expect.
The "777 Rule in Islam" primarily refers to a parenting philosophy based on dividing a child's upbringing into three seven-year stages: 0-7 years (play, love, bonding); 7-14 years (teaching, discipline, character building); and 14-21 years (mentorship, guidance, treating them as friends/companions). This framework, rooted in prophetic guidance, emphasizes intentional connection and age-appropriate engagement to raise balanced, resilient Muslim children, contrasting with a simpler "7-minute rule" for daily connection.
Transliteration: Allahumma innee a'uzubika min alhammi wal huzni wal ajzi wal kasli wal bukhli wal jubni wa dala'id dayni wa galabatir rijaal. Translation: O Allah, I take refuge in you from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.
Surah Duha (Surah 93)
Surah Duha is an especially gentle and comforting surah. Among the shorter surahs of the Quran, it was revealed at a very difficult time for the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
67341. Can one recite the Qunoot and other Duas in one's own language while performing any Nafilah prayers? Qunoot as Qunoot should be in Arabic according to the precaution, but Du'a , any Du'a (supplication) is permissible during Prayers in any language. Wassalam.
Haram (or Impermissible) Fear
This is when the Fear leads to being despondent of the Mercy of Allāh and losing hope. The person therefore falls short of an obligation or does a Haram (Impermissible) action.
The recitation of Surahs like Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas can bring immense comfort and protection in our daily lives. These Surahs remind us to turn to Allah in times of need and to trust in His infinite mercy and power.
(47:4) When you meet the unbelievers (in battle), smite their necks until you have crushed them, then bind your captives firmly; thereafter (you are entitled to) set them free, either by an act of grace, or against ransom, until the war ends. That is for you to do.
For Muslims, it's recommended to use the emoji 🙏 that features hands raised in supplication (du'ā) instead. This small difference reflects important religious distinctions. 2️⃣ **Pregnant Man Emoji 🫃** This emoji represents a concept that goes against Islamic teachings, as men cannot be pregnant.

Raising Daughters
Indeed, uncontrollable tears is a sign that your dua is being accepted by Allah. Few days back , I shared a reel where a sheikh mentioned six basic signs that your dua is being accepted.
Reciting “Astaghfirullah” (seeking forgiveness from Allah) multiple times, such as 1000 times, is considered a form of dhikr and is believed to carry spiritual benefits.
Forbidden prayer times
As mentioned, Muslims are banned from praying during 3 main times: sunrise, sunset, and Zawwal. The prostration of recitation (sajda al tilawa) is permissible to be offered during these times though it is disliked (tanzihan).
The #1 worst habit for anxiety isn't singular, but avoidance (procrastination), poor sleep, and negative thought patterns (like catastrophizing) are top contenders, creating vicious cycles where anxiety fuels these behaviors, and the behaviors, in turn, worsen anxiety by preventing healthy coping and creating more stress. Other significant habits include excessive caffeine, poor diet, too much screen time, and social withdrawal, all disrupting the body's ability to manage stress effectively.
Teas for stress and anxiety relief
The rule is simple: Commit to doing the task for just five minutes. That's it. Once you get over the initial resistance and begin, even if only briefly, something shifts. Momentum builds, anxiety decreases, and your brain transitions from avoidance to engagement.
