Romanian slang for a "hot girl" often uses terms like "gagică" (meaning girlfriend/chick, but used for attractive young women) or direct, informal ways to say she's attractive, like "e fierbinte" (she's hot) or describing her as "sexy" or "smoking hot" (using the English word or a Romanian equivalent). British Romany . It seems to have various meanings depending on context - sometimes its an exclamation of some kind, like wow! "Dordi, dik at the size of that". But also as an expression of surprised agreement, or acknowledgement when someone is telling you something exciting or surprising.
Romani Americans (Roma). There are about 20,000 Romani Americans (Roma) in Texas, out of a national population of about one million. Romani people, commonly known by the pejorative term Gypsies, have been in the Americas since 1498, when Columbus brought some on his third voyage to the West Indies.
