US singer Selena Gomez has revealed she underwent a kidney transplant as a result of lupus.
While appearing on the latest episode of Apple TV+'s documentary series Dear ..., Gomez, 30, reflected on receiving a kidney transplant from the Grown-ish star, 34, in 2017, when she struggled with life-threatening health issues due to complications from lupus.
In 2007, Gomez was diagnosed with the inflammatory disease Lupus and the only way to save her life was through a kidney transplant. And, like a true friend, Raisa stepped up to volunteer for the transplant. Once she was found to be a match, she underwent surgery and donated her kidney to Gomez, as per 7news.
