Some dermal fillers have been studied to last close to two years. The three fillers that tend to last the longest are Restylane Lyft, Restylane Defyne, Restylane Refyne, Juvederm, Voluma, Radiesse, and Sculptra.
Most of the time, HA based fillers (Juvederm, Restylane ) last anywhere from 6 to 18 months. In some individuals, they last a bit shorter or longer. Some other fillers such as Sculptra can last 2 years, but usually that is not a first choice for lip augmentation.

Juvederm Voluma is the only filler proven to last up to 2 years. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm Voluma slowly metabolizes over time, so patients often opt for a follow-up treatment when their results start to diminish.
The way the under eye filler is placed
The truth is that all hyaluronic fillers stay in the body for longer than a year, sometimes they last for 5 years (I've seen it). Over time the fillers gradually degrade from as our body creates and enzyme called hyaluronidase that cleaves the bonds of the sugar chains in the gel.
Unlike temporary and semi-permanent dermal fillers, permanent dermal fillers aren't decomposable, which means they can't be broken down as quickly by the body. They're usually formulated to be injected into parts of the body that consist of thick skin such as the nasolabial folds and can last up to five years or more.
Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) and Sculptra (Poly-L-lactic acid) are commonly considered semi permanent fillers but typically last 18-24 months and they do reabsorb with time. Artefill (Polymethacrylate) is the only FDA approved permanent (Non-absorbable) filler on the US market today.
“Permanent” fillers are just that. The material is composed of collagen and tiny microspheres of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). The PMMA is not biodegradable, so the filler remains in place.
People with higher metabolisms will experience shorter filler results because their bodies will break the filler compound down faster than those with slower metabolisms. The same goes for other treatments such as BOTOX® and Dysport®.
