Any nude shade, like a very light/blush pink, or beige, light brown, or off-white. I don't think any one would notice or comment on the color of your nails, but I would avoid black and bright/neon colors.
Skirts and dresses are the traditional choice but dress slacks are just as acceptable. Closed toe shoes are not a must but covering up neon toe nail polish is a good idea.
Dark red would be fine. Not a bright "garish" red.
Red, White, and Blue Striped Nails
The stripes are a classic American symbol and are a perfect choice for the holiday. If you want to be more subtle, you can choose to do a one color stripe instead of all three, creating a sleek and understated look that still pays homage to the holiday.

In a representative survey, the Deutsches Lackinstitut (German Paint Institute ) found out that men generally prefer blue, but also like grey, black and brown. Both sexes like green about the same, while women are otherwise more fond of red, yellow, beige and orange.
White nails truly go with everything and make any color pop. If you're silently questioning “does white nail polish look good?”, the answer is yes. In the summertime it can be paired beautifully with pastels or bright clothing in your wardrobe.

Black is the most traditional color for funerals and memorial cremation services. If you are having a traditional service, you might want to use something somber like black. It's a color a lot of people will wear to signify mourning and it's the ceremonial color of grief.
A neutral color would be best or a clear or very sheer pink.

Makeup/Jewelry:
Makeup should be kept simple. Foundation, a bit of blush and black eyeliner should suffice. Avoid bright lipstick, if any at all. As with clothing, you're makeup should not make you stand out.
Glitter or sequins
Again, it's not appropriate to wear anything bright or flashy. This includes glitter and sequins which are highly distracting, especially during a memorial service.
Don't: wear too much makeup.
If you wear makeup, you'll want to keep things minimal for a funeral. Stick to light, natural colors and a nude lipstick. Avoid anything featuring bright colors, glitter, or unnatural hues.
Hair should be simple. Those with shorter hair should go for a clean look. Those with longer hair can try out a modest updo or a half-up, half-down hairstyle. Like with all aspects of your outfit, your hair should be respectful and not distracting from the memorial event.
Purple signifies the suffering that comes with the loss of a loved one. It is the color of grief and painful mourning. Purple flowers and purple cobs of corn are often used to decorate gravesites.
Black. The colour – or rather adsense of colour– black is often linked with negative associations, such as death, fear or sadness, according to the Journal of international Colour Association.
Sadness. “Gray” was the most frequent color indicated for sadness, followed by “indigo” and then “black” (Figure 1).
Traditionally, white is the colour of choice for most funeral and condolence flowers. In the language of flowers, white flowers represent peace, innocence and purity. This makes them a perfect fit for funerals, as well as weddings and baby showers.
