In the first draft of the series, Katsuki was a genius with a nice personality, though Horikoshi scrapped this idea because it was too boring. Instead, he decided to make the character ruthless and ambitious.
In the span of 8 seasons, Bakugo went from being one of my most disliked characters to easily being one of fan favorites. 🥹 Absolutely love his development. Over time, he learned to acknowledge Deku's growth and genuinely wanted to compete with him as an equal.
Him learning Midoriya's secret is a turning point of sorts, and he's not as outwardly aggressive toward his classmate. But not even Bakugo apologizing to Midoriya alters how he is naturally. Bakugo's still loud, quick to anger, and feels that he's better than everyone else.
Even outside of his cruel nicknames, Bakugo is just overall not a nice person. He constantly yells at others and is often incredibly mean to the students around him.
However, Bakugou does display a number of traits which I think could potentially label him an autistic character. Having an aversion to being in a large group, preferring to be alone or in a small group of trusted friends. A tendency to fixate on tasks, goals, objects, or interests instead of socializing.

The creator literally confirmed that bakugo had a happy childhood. Sure his mom saying it was his fault for being kidnapped is wrong but that doesn't mean she verbally abused him. She never physically abused him either that is just how she disciplines him. It was for comedy relief to show how similar she is to bakugo.
Katsuki's Quirk is Explosion; it works by Katsuki sweating a nitroglycerin-like substance from his palms, which he can detonate at will.

So I was thinking about how strangely Bakugo's parent's quirks compliment one another. For those who don't know, his dad's quirk causes his sweat to become explosive when he rubs his hands, but cannot forcibly secrete the sweat itself. His mom's quirk allows her to forcibly secrete a smooth liquid from her skin.
