For long flights, it's best to go bare-faced or wear minimal makeup before flying, focusing on hydrating skincare, and then apply makeup after landing for a fresh look, or do a quick refresh (touch-ups) a bit before touchdown, as dry cabin air can make heavy makeup look flaky and clog pores. Skip heavy foundation and opt for hydration, but if you must wear makeup, use lighter formulas and cleanse thoroughly before boarding.
Fly makeup free. Makeup clogs your pores, so be sure to go onto the plane with clean skin. If you MUST have makeup on, keep it to mascara and maybe a tinted moisturizer. But if you can stand it, don't wear any makeup.
Any liquid, gel, cream, paste, etc. is fine as long as it's under 3 ounces and it's in the resealable bag. Pro tip: most makeup is 1oz, so you're generally okay.

You can't bring sharp objects (knives, scissors over 4in), weapons, most tools (hammers, drills), firearms, explosives, flammable liquids/aerosols, large lithium batteries, disabling sprays (pepper spray), or large quantities of liquids (over 100ml) in your carry-on; most hazardous materials and large sporting goods are also banned due to security risks, requiring them to be checked.
