Whether Elon Musk is a "real" engineer is a subject of debate, depending on the definition of an engineer. He does not hold a formal engineering degree, but he is deeply involved in technical design, holds engineering-related titles, and has a strong technical background.
Elon Musk does not have an engineering degree.
Elon Musk has publicly stated he has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, which he disclosed during his 2021 appearance on Saturday Night Live. He described his traits as including taking things literally, struggling with social cues, and finding reward in intense focus, suggesting it aids his work. His comments sparked conversations about autism and how individuals, particularly high-profile ones, experience it.
Nikola Tesla–
The inventor, creator, electrical engineer and mechanical engineer was an inventor way beyond his times with his futuristic innovations. The engineer invented the induction motor, fluorescent lighting and Tesla coil, all important inventions still in use today.
Elon offers two pathways: an engineering degree from Elon or the dual-degree engineering program, where a student participates in the Elon program for three years and then transfers to another engineering institution, typically for two more years.
Bezos was born in Albuquerque and raised in Houston and Miami. He graduated from Princeton University in 1986 with a degree in engineering. He worked on Wall Street in a variety of related fields from 1986 to early 1994.
He earned an undergraduate degree in economics before continuing on to earn a second bachelor's degree in physics. Musk went to Stanford University in California to earn a Ph. D. in energy physics after leaving Penn.
In India, Engineer's day is celebrated on September 15th. This day is celebrated in the honor of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya(1861-1962) on his Birthday. For his contribution to engineering field he was awarded the Indian public's highest honour , the Bharat Ratna, in 1955.
1. Elon Musk – Net Worth: $250 billion. Musk studied physics and engineering, and his ventures include Tesla, SpaceX, and Neuralink. 2. Bernard Arnault Net Worth $181 billion.
A: Elon Musk is primarily known as an entrepreneur and business magnate rather than a traditional engineer.
Elon Musk said he believes the universe didn't come from nothing and called God “the Creator” during an interview on The Katie Miller Podcast.
Dr Darrick Antell, a plastic surgeon in New York City, suggested Musk had a wattlectomy, otherwise known as a neck lift. 'This procedure is designed particularly for men to reduce excess neck skin,' he told DailyMail.com.
In a 2013 interview with The New Yorker, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that he had "a mild form of autism," later clarifying that his condition aligned with Asperger's syndrome.
Elon Musk's "1-Hour Rule" (often called the 5-Hour Rule) is about dedicating at least one focused hour each weekday (five hours a week) to deliberate learning, reading, or deep thinking, without distractions, to foster continuous growth and problem-solving, a practice also attributed to leaders like Bill Gates. This isn't about working harder but thinking deeper, allowing for crucial reflection amidst constant output, with Musk's own experience highlighting how focused, distraction-free time yields better results than hours of unfocused work.
at more than 130, a number gleaned from his reported SAT score. A circulating screenshot shows Fox News has pegged the number at 155, citing Sociosite, a junk website.

Zuckerberg learned computer programming in his childhood. At about the age of eleven, he created "ZuckNet", a program that allowed computers at the family home and his father's dental office to communicate with each other.
Yes, electrical engineers can make $500k, but it's rare and usually requires high-level roles in tech, leadership, or starting your own successful firm, often involving substantial stock compensation or business profits, rather than typical individual contributor salaries which cap much lower. High-paying paths involve specialized areas like semiconductors, working in tech hubs (Silicon Valley), or becoming a principal/executive, with total compensation (base + bonus + stock) being key to reaching $500k.
The 10 Greatest Engineers of All Time
Engineering graduates who achieved millionaire status often became entrepreneurs. Says Josh Spero, Spear's editor, “Entrepreneurs, who ultimately end up being the wealthiest in the world, are innovators, and the top subjects are those [that] encourage new and smart thinking, whether technical or financial.”
Despite being renowned as one of the most abstract thinkers of the 20th century, Einstein was also very interested in the application of ideas, and it could be argued that he was more of an engineer than a physicist, especially in his early career.

Ancient Greece developed machines in both civilian and military domains, as evidenced by the writings of Philo of Byzantium and others. The Antikythera mechanism, an early known mechanical analog computer, and the mechanical inventions of Archimedes, are examples of Greek mechanical engineering.
For Elon Musk, the number 42, famously from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, signifies humanity's quest for answers, reminding us that asking the right questions about life, the universe, and our purpose is crucial, especially in space exploration, serving as an inspiration for progress and seeking deeper meaning beyond just technology. He's incorporated it into SpaceX's Starship, symbolizing this ongoing search for meaning and the universe's profound mysteries.
Here's a concrete example. Musk did reasonably well in school when it comes to mathematics. But he took an autodidactic approach to learning rocket science on his way to founding SpaceX.
Born into a wealthy New York City family, Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
