The LG A2 OLED and the LG C1 OLED are similar TVs in terms of picture quality, but the C1 has an advantage for gaming. It has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and VRR support, both of which the A2 doesn't have, meaning the C1 can take full advantage of gaming consoles.
Our Verdict. The LG C2 OLED is a higher-end TV than the LG A2 OLED and has better performance and features. The C2 gets much brighter, especially in HDR, so highlights pop more.
The C1 is a better gaming TV, with four HDMI 2.1 ports, support for variable refresh rate technology (VRR), and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Given the improved OLED Evo panel, extra gaming features, better smart TV interface with webOS 22, and extra voice commands, the LG C2 is the winner. The LG C1 remains a great television, but for a little more money, you get future proofing with the C2 that's pretty hard to pass up.
The Cambridge Certificate C1 Advanced (CAE) is difficult to pass without proper preparation. Even if you think you have decent language skills it will test your grammar thoroughly and you may have difficulties on many levels.
If a person is at C1, this is advanced level. He/she can do the following: Understand a wide range of more demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning in them. Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression.
The C1 gets brighter, but the difference isn't very noticeable. The C1 also has a wider refresh rate range because it has low frame rate compensation that allows the VRR to drop below 40Hz, which the B1 doesn't have.
If B2 is what many consider “fluent,” then C1 is fluency with increased nuance and understanding. At C1, you can understand subtle jokes in the language, and express yourself with colorful native phrases. When you reach C1, you should have a working vocabulary of about 8000 words – almost double that of B2!
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.
The biggest difference is with the peak brightness, as the B2 gets brighter, delivering a better HDR experience. The B2 also has many gaming features that the A2 doesn't have, like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and VRR support.
LG A2 OLED TV (48-inch)
If you want an amazing-looking display at a somewhat low price, LG's A2 OLED is an excellent value. It lacks the high refresh rate panel and brightness of the pricier LG C2, but the A2 costs less for fantastic picture quality.
The LG A2 is an entry-level model that only provides a 60Hz refresh rate compared to the C2 and its 120Hz refresh rate. For gaming, the LG C2 includes VRR (variable refresh rate) which helps your television adjust its refresh rate based on what you are viewing on your screen.
The LG C1 is one of the best TVs we've ever tested. From what we've seen so far this year, the only TVs that match the LG C1 in features and eclipse it in performance are the LG G1 and the Sony A90J, but both of these OLED class competitors are only marginally better despite costing significantly more.
After two months, the two QD-OLED displays on this test (Samsung S95B OLED and the Sony A95K) are both showing signs of possible permanent image retention (burn-in), but the LG WOLED TVs like the LG C2 OLED and the LG G2 OLED are clean.
Aside from price, the biggest difference between the two is that carbon-fiber construction on the C2. It allows for up to 47% lighter weight -- the 65-inch version I reviewed weighs just 37 pounds with its stand, compared to 72 pounds for the 65-inch C1, which is a substantial difference.
SKILLS AT LEVEL C1

How many language levels are there? There are six levels of language proficiency (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) according to the CEFR scale.
The main difference between the two tests is the level of English that they allow you to achieve. C1 Advanced is targeted at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), while C2 is targeted at the C2 CEFR level. C2 Proficiency is therefore the more difficult of the two exams.
Your certificate can be awarded at different levels, depending on your achievement. Exceptional candidates sometimes show ability beyond B2 level. If you achieve a scale score of 180–190 (grade A) in your exam, you will receive the First Certificate in English stating that you demonstrated ability at Level C1.
Is there much difference between the exams? The answer is yes! You will need to work a lot harder and be serious about your preparation for the C1 Advanced exam. While the B2 First shows you have a good grounding in English, the C1 Advanced is closer to the level of a native speaker.
Level C1 corresponds to users who can express themselves fluently and spontaneously. They can use language flexibly and effectively for all purposes.
A C1 Advanced qualification shows that you can:
follow an academic course at university level. communicate effectively at a managerial and professional level. participate with confidence in workplace meetings or academic tutorials and seminars.
C1 Advanced is a focused academic English exam, which shows that students have the English skills they need to succeed at college or university on undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This exam is the logical step in a student's language-learning journey between B2 First and C2 Proficiency.
