A: An XXL is generally the largest size in Misses clothing (very rarely do you see misses/straight sizes in a 20). An XXL fits like a 1X in my experience. An XXL is NOT the same as a 2X.
An XXL shirt is one size larger than an XL which is one size larger than a Large. The cut of the garment is the same it's just done "on a larger scale" no pun intended. A 2XL garment is cut differently. In fact, it's half a size bigger than an XXL.
An XXL and a 2X are not the same, even though the size charts are identical. A 2X Big is cut larger, especially in the mid section. I order both the XXL and the 2X, the 2X is substantially larger around the midsection. The chest and arms fit about the same.

The range for XXL size is between 18-20. Hence, it is a plus-size.

A: They are both women sizes: 3x and xxxl are the same except xxxl has longer sleeves and the body of the item is longer because the (l) in the xxxl usually stands for long. Sometimes you will also see xxxl listed as 3xL.

An XXL is a Misses 18. A 1X is a plus size 14/16. The difference is that plus size clothing is generally made wider and with more room in the arms, hips, thighs, butt, and stomach areas. So the measurements may be similar.
Fit models for plus are generally a size 2X or 18/20, meaning that this fit model definitely has a curvier figure. Because curves are taken into account in in-style plus size clothing, you will notice a difference in fit.
2XL means XXL. 2XLT means XXL or double extra tall. These men's garments are 2-4" longer in length than 2XL. 2XL is sometimes labeled just 2X.

In American Sizes; Size 2 is XS, Size 4 is S, Size 6 is M, Size 8 is L, Size 10 is XL, Size 12 is XXL. This is what it usually is, although sizes may still vary depending on the store.
