To survive a nuclear power plant explosion, get inside a sturdy building (concrete/brick) or underground immediately, stay away from windows, turn off ventilation, and shelter in the most central/lowest part for at least 24-48 hours, listening for official instructions on radio/TV to avoid radioactive fallout, which travels by wind and can be harmful for miles.
