Minecraft Java & Bedrock Edition is priced at $30 and you can purchase it on the official Minecraft website. If you already own the Java or Bedrock Edition on PC, the Minecraft team said that it may take up to 3 days for the other edition you'll be getting for free to appear in the Minecraft game launcher.
Updating Bedrock on Windows
Open the launcher and select "Minecraft for Windows" from the list of games on the left. As long as you have a stable internet connection, pressing the green install or play button should allow you to open the game after it downloads all the necessary assets for version 1.19.
While the Java Edition is only available on Windows, Mac, and Linux, you can get the Bedrock Edition on Windows 10 and 11, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Fire OS/TV, Android, iOS, Windows Mobile and Samsung Gear VR.
Sorry, that was louder than I intended. Starting June 7, all players that have either Java Edition or Bedrock Edition will receive the edition they do not currently own for free, right in the Minecraft Launcher. So if you own Java, you'll get Bedrock – and vice versa.
If you want to mod or run custom servers, the Java Edition is the way to go. If you want cross-platform gameplay or want to play on mobile and consoles, the Bedrock Edition is your only option.
Minecraft for Windows is another Bedrock iteration that is supported on Windows. It comes in two versions, with each one bearing different features and unique gameplay. For Bedrock, players will have to cough up $29.99 USD.
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition costs $6.99 for the Android version.
For example, any players using Minecraft bedrock edition will easily be able to play with each other. However, they won't be able to join Java servers. For this reason, unless you use a workaround, Java and Bedrock players will only be able to play online on different servers.
