Implement an infant security tag or abduction alarm system, such as a bar-coding system or umbilical clamp, which triggers an alarm, locks doors, and freezes elevators if the infant comes within 4 feet of an exit or elevator.
To exert control, aggression, or violence: These types of abductions are motivated by an offender's desire to control, dominate, and cause harm to a child and/or a child's family. Due to emotional/mental health issues: These types of child abductions are committed by offenders with severe mental health issues.
Be careful about posting too much personal information online and do not trust "friendly" strangers on social media that know too much about you or say just the right thing. Stay vigilant and don't "look" like easy prey. Traffickers go after those they perceive as vulnerable and meek.

Eight-year-old Sydney boy Graeme Thorne was the first person kidnapped for ransom in Australia. Before the kidnapping, there had been considerable publicity when his father won 100,000 pounds in the Opera House lottery. The kidnapping caused a huge public outcry.
There is no single profile of a trafficking victim. Victims of human trafficking can be anyone—regardless of race, color, national origin, disability, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, education level, or citizenship status.
