And Tolkein himself confirms this in his own private letters, where he makes it clear that Frodo and his friend Sam (who is also eventually granted a place in Valinor) would always be mere mortals and would eventually succumb to death even if they were to remain in The Undying Lands.
Author J.R.R. Tolkien did not specify what happens to Frodo after going to the Undying Lands, leaving it up to the audience to decide if he eventually lived a comfortable life. What can be concluded is that this realm was the best place for the Hobbit to fully recover from his traumatic experiences.

The ring is too dangerous a commodity even for the Undying Lands. Elrond makes the final decision, stating that 'the ring should be destroyed: as long as it is in the world, it will be a danger even to the wise. For nothing is evil in the beginning.

Though Gimli has no children, he is not the last Dwarf of Middle-earth. After the fall of Sauron, his people continued to thrive in the Lonely Mountain. Gimli made his home in Rohan, in the Glittering Caves of Aglarond, and many of his kinsfolk came with him.
Although he lived among them, Legolas was not fully of the Silvan Elves. As a son of the Elven-king Thranduil, who had originally come from Doriath, Legolas was at least half Sindar; his mother's identity is completely unknown.
