While you may think of dish soap only for washing your dishes, it actually works well for keeping your concrete floor clean. Dish soap, when mixed properly, removes all dirt and buildup without leaving behind any film or residue.
Dish soap and water: Dish soap is a degreaser, and it works well to clean oily and grimy concrete. Create a cleaning solution of warm water and few drops of dish soap and apply it to the surface. Let it sit for a while, then mop the patio and rinse it with fresh water. Repeat the process as many times as needed.
Use Dish Soap and Water
Ordinary household dish soap as a degreaser is extremely useful for cleaning up oily, grimy concrete stains while avoiding the use of harmful chemicals. Start with two gallons of warm water and a mere two teaspoons of dish soap in a standard bucket.
The results showed that sodium phosphate salts by 27-35% of the weight of the detergent has led to weaken the resistance of the pressure of the cement mortar by 5%, and sodium sulphate salts and sodium chloride led to weaken on pressure resistance and inflexion by 15%.
General Concrete-Floor Cleaning
Fill a bucket with warm or hot water, adding a squirt or two of dish soap. Mop the floor with the mildly soapy water. For tough stains, sprinkle a little baking soda or borax on the spots and dip a scrub brush into the soapy water, tackling the stains with the brush.
Cleaning concrete with bleach, water, and 1/8 cup of dishwashing liquid is an effective solution when it comes to mildly dirty patios. Does white vinegar clean concrete? Cleaning concrete with vinegar is also good for mildly soiled (equal parts vinegar and water) or heavily soiled (full-strength vinegar) patios.
The most destructive agent of concrete structures and components is probably water. Indeed, water often directly participates to chemical reactions as a reagent and is always necessary as a solvent, or a reacting medium, making transport of solutes and reactions possible.

Washing up liquid is commonly used as a plasticiser in cement mortar. However, it is thought to affect the long-term structural integrity of the mortar as it can add too much air, thereby creating bubbles.
Sugar soap is great to use as a de-greaser to lift light oil and grease stains from concrete – you know, the ones that appear in your garage or driveway that you're at a loss to do something about? Just the sugar soap, neat or diluted, then scrub the surface to a lather, and rinse clean.
Once you're done sweeping, pour dry dish soap or laundry detergent onto the stain. Let it sit for 45 minutes. Next pour water on the area and scrub with a nylon-bristle brush, which will not scratch the surface of the concrete. Allow the soap to sit for 10-15 minutes and scrub again.
First of all, both sodium chloride (aka rock salt) and potassium chloride are salts. Therefore, they are not recommended for use on concrete to melt snow and ice, because they do significant damage over time. Even though these products are used quite a bit, nothing is more corrosive toward concrete than salt.
Formulated to cut grease, dish soap is another effective solution for treating oil stains on a driveway. Squirt some dish soap on the oil stain. Scrub the stain with a heavy-duty brush. Then rinse away the soap with water.
White vinegar will not damage your concrete. However, leaving this solution for an extended period will damage the cement that binds the concrete together. Hence, you should be careful when using vinegar on your concrete, especially if you will use this solution on polished concrete.

Water can breakdown the materials that concrete is made of. Create mold and bacteria in the concrete, and cause concrete foundations to move and shift. All of these result in cracks in the concrete. Eventually damage to the concrete foundation of the home if not taken care of promptly.
If too much rain falls into the concrete mix – or if it is laid onto wet surfaces or trenches – this will affect the mix, resulting in weak concrete. Rain falling on freshly-poured concrete can cause damage to the surface, making it bumpy and uneven.
Alkaline cleaners like baking soda (pH 8 to 9) and castile soap (pH 8.9) break down oil, grease, and other hydrocarbon-based grime. Higher alkaline cleaners like borax (pH 10) and washing soda (pH 11 to 12) tackle deeper, harder-to-remove concrete stains.
Spray the area down with cold water, spray on some Super Clean and let it sit a few minutes. Work it into the concrete with the garage broom, and rinse with the hose. Concrete or asphalt will be clean and impressive in no time. Then clean the patio or deck the same way!
You should find that a warm water/dish soap mix removes rust stains easily from concrete, though you should avoid scrubbing too hard so as not to mark it.
Wash concrete driveways with a solution of water and washing soda. Dissolve 1 cup of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda in a bucket of warm water (paint stir sticks work great for stirring until it's all dissolved).
