The reason Arizona won that custody battle is because she was the better person to raise Sofia. Callie decided to run off to New York with her girlfriend of a few months and thought it would be fine to drag her child across the country, away from all her friends, away from her school, and away from her other mom.
Leah Murphy
After getting fired by Richard for her less-than-stellar surgical skills, resident Leah Murphy spent some time wallowing in her depression before starting work at a different hospital.
After some time living in New York, Sofia decided she wanted to move back to Seattle and so she came back to live with Arizona.
8. Leah Murphy. At the end of season 10, Richard fires Leah after noticing that she's a good doctor but lacking surgical skills. In season 13, Leah returns to Grey Sloan, rehired after proving herself to be excellent at another hospital.

Kepner gets engaged to Matthew but at their wedding, Avery stands up to profess his love for her. Kepner chooses Avery, and they run out of her wedding together. When Kepner regrets her decision, Avery proposes to her and they elope.
Maggie went through several relationships, most notably with DeLuca and Jackson, until she met Winston, one of her residents at Tufts who followed her to Seattle. They married during Grey's Covid-themed Season 17, holding two weddings, a smaller one in Meredith's back yard and a larger one on the beach.
In the ninth season, Karev befriends intern Jo Wilson. They begin a relationship in the tenth season until their break-up in the twelfth season. However, they get back together again and marry in the fourteenth season.
“The true mom would rather give her baby up than see her ripped into two,” the Grey Sloan surgical chief said. Meredith opened the door to Arizona, who was awarded sole custody. She and Sofia happily headed home.

Chandra Wilson is Miranda Bailey, the character who has appeared the most in the Grey's Anatomy franchise, as well as an audience favorite. At the beginning of the show, Bailey was a general surgery resident at the hospital, who was known for her strictness with the interns.
In season 8, Meredith lost her job because she tampered with a clinical trial for Alzheimer's. Basically, this involved Meredith switching the placebo with the actual drug so she could ensure that Richard's wife Adele (Loretta Devine) was getting the real treatment.
