Your appearance is randomly generated based on your Steam ID, and it will be stuck like that forever. Garry Newman, the owner of Facepunch Studios, wrote an article in which he stated that Rust will never have character customization since it would be a waste of time.
Rust is not for anyone, it is grindy, hard, and unfriendly to new players. It is very frustrating when you have a full inventory of loot and die a mere 200m away from your home. If you choose to play this game, you now know what to expect in your first dozen or so hours of playing it.
its a very grindy game and not playable solo if ur new to rust, at least on official servers...you will get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by clans of 10+ who are ♥♥♥♥ but just have numbers. I'm brand new and imo it's super fun and takes about 10 minutes for a newbie like me to build a really basic base, haven't made it past that point.
