The display box and rose were excellent, and the rose itself is scented. It does not smell like a real rose to me, but rather like a pleasant perfume. It wasn't overpowering, but I would take note if you have a fragrance-sensitive recipient.

Preservation Methods
Roses at Venus et Fleur get treated with non-allergenic wax and natural oils. Then, they get soaked in dye to give the flowers a natural, long-lasting color. The roses at The Million Roses get placed in a glycerin solution that absorbs through the stem.

Roseraie de l'Hay. One of the hardiest and most fragrant roses, 'Roseraie de l'Hay' bears magenta-purple blooms filled with a very strong, sweet fragrance. This tough rugosa rose has a long bloom season and excellent disease resistance, too.

Older rose varieties such as tea roses have been known to reach 100 years. That's another good reason to grow them other than the many blooms and the fact that they're great landscape plants.
The longest-lasting rose variety from their study was Poison, a lovely dark pink variety, followed by Reward and Valentino roses. These three lasted several days longer than other varieties on average.

While black roses do not truly exist in mother nature, their symbolism very much does in culture and everyday life. The Black Baccara Rose is the darkest naturally occurring color of rose. It's a deep crimson bordering on black.
Color Blue Does Not Exist in Roses. The color blue is not in the gene pool of roses. This means that naturally, or in the cross-breeding process of roses, it would be impossible to get a blue rose. Blue, and black, are two colors that you don't find in roses.
The Middlemist Red is considered the rarest flower in the world. It is found in London and New Zealand, with only one specimen in each location. It used to be native to Asia but is now extinct on the continent. John Middlemist was responsible for bringing the flower to London in 1804.
It doesn't exist. In my opinion it looks like a colour adjusted image of a far more common rose cultivar, either the historic Rosa mundi or Rosa 'Purple Tiger'. Of course, I am not saying that out there in the world they there are no impressive variegated rose cultivars similar in colouration to the Black Dragon rose.
Eternity Roses or Eternal Roses are real roses. They are just preserved in varied process so that they maintain the original look of the flower.
Feed them flower food or sugar
It provides all the nutrients your roses need to keep them looking lush. Place the food in the warm water in the vase and stir well before adding the roses. If they didn't come with flower food, try dissolving a teaspoon of sugar in a litre of water instead.
