Why did he come to Earth? Jesus came to redeem us and reconcile us back to God. We were lost in our sins, slaves to our old, sinful nature. We needed redemption.
The Bible says that God sent his son into the world “to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15). This means that Jesus came to earth not only to die for our sins, but also to live for us. His life was an example of what it means to follow God's will.

Aramaic is best known as the language Jesus spoke. It is a Semitic language originating in the middle Euphrates. In 800-600 BC it spread from there to Syria and Mesopotamia. The oldest preserved inscriptions are from this period and written in Old Aramaic.

And then he died the painful death our sins deserve. John 3:17 says, “God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” By sacrificing himself for us on the cross, he took the punishment for all of our sins at once.
