A slight upturn of the nose after rhinoplasty is common and should not be of concern. This upturn is mostly due to swelling and should improve as this resolves. Keeping your head elevated and limiting activities will help. With time this should improve.
It is not unusual for the tip of the nose to appear upturned during the recovery from rhinoplasty. This issue normally improves over time as the swelling resolves and the healing takes place. It can take 6-12 months for all of the healing to occur but you most likely will begin to see some improvement before that time.
Upturned nose after rhinoplasty
If too much cartilage is removed from the tip of the nose or the septum, it can shorten the nose and cause the tip to turn upward. This can happen when a nose already lacks projection before surgery and an excessive amount of cartilage is removed during surgery.

First Week Post-Operatively
Sleeping sitting up 30-45 degrees in a recliner chair is ideal if possible, however, you can also use two to three pillows to keep your head and shoulders elevated, thereby enabling gravity to do its part in mitigating swelling and bruising.
The shape of your nose is primarily determined by your bone and cartilage and can't be changed without surgery. If you're unhappy with your nose, the cheapest and easiest option is to use makeup to contour it.
2 Weeks After Rhinoplasty: At this point, you will probably experience a dramatic reduction in post-op swelling, and any bruising will likely have disappeared. As swelling recedes, the new shape of the nose becomes more apparent and distinguishable.
Dorsal Hump Reduction
Small or large dorsal humps can be reduced using closed rhinoplasty techniques. Surgeons will assess the size of the hump, the patient's desired nasal structure, the presence of cartilage and bone and the length of the patient's nasal bones.
