She's called Yíng (荧) in Chinese, Hotaru (蛍) in Japanese and Lumine in English and other languages. Her canonical name is uttered once in the game by her brother if player selects him. According to Venti and some NPCs in Mondstadt, Lumine is underage and cannot drink yet.
Besides his story quest, Childe also invites Lumine to his home in his Serenitea Pot dialogue and in his birthday story. In the Japanese dub of the Labyrinth Warriors event, Childe calls Lumine "ore no aibō" which translates to "my comrade."

The gender and name of the Traveler's sibling are both decided by the player at the start of the game. If the player chooses to play as Aether, then Lumine becomes the Princess of the Abyss. If instead Lumine is chosen, then Aether becomes the Prince.

The ship first gained traction after the Liyue Archon Quest, especially once "Act 3: A New Star Approaches" was released which contained the cutscene of Xiao saving Lumine falling from the Jade chamber and showing concern for her wellbeing.

The male Traveler's Chinese name is Kong, which translates to “air” or “sky.” Lumine's translates in a similar way too, with Ying meaning fluorescent. Aether's English name is more of a nod to the game's Chinese origins.

In the Developer's Insight, it was confirmed that Xiao didn't dislike the idea of joining Aether, but rejected out of avoidance.
Since Xiao has been suffering for centuries and is deeply traumatized, many love the idea of Aether being the one to show Xiao the good sides of life and that he's worth much more than simply being a tool in battle.
Trivia. In the voiceline "About Being Siblings", it's confirmed that Lumine and Aether are the exact same age, and that they decide who has to do errands with rock-paper-scissors.

In the Chinese captions, Kaeya ends most of his sentences towards the Traveler with a "~" symbol, indicating a playful/flirtatious intonation. Kaeya is the most mentioned playable characters in the Traveler's voicelines as of Version 2.0.
