Kanao never spoke before being adopted into the Demon Slayer Corps and continued to have difficulty speaking after officially joining the other demon slayers. To help with her indecisiveness and other struggles, Kanao often flips a coin she received as a gift.

After successfully defeating Doma, Kanao searches the ground for Shinobu's lost hairpin, and realizes that Kanae's has broken. She recalls that when Kanae died, she was unable to cry, but no one judged her for it.
However, they were just barely able to kill Doma with young Kanao using a Flower Breathing technique that involved her eyesight, but doing so caused significant damage to her eyes. She's blind in her left eye and can barely see in the right.
Yes, Tanjiro loses his right eye. After being exposed to Muzan's poison, his eye is healed but he can't see out of it. Even after returning to his human form, the iris of his right eye remains a dull pink-gray color and the pupil black. He still has not regained sight in that eye.
Kanao and Tanjiro would eventually marry and start a family, having two great-great-grandchildren by the names of Kanata Kamado and Sumihiko Kamado between them.

The stone Hashira, Gyomei, is a gentle giant who is patient and firm like the earth itself.
She also loses the ability to see out of her right eye due to her using Flower Breathing's final form to take out the Upper Rank, with her eye gaining a defined pupil with a dark ring around it and becoming deprived of its gradient.

She beats them every time and at every game. Her winning streak continues until Tanjiro learns total concentration breathing and is then able to defeat her. Tanjiro is also one of the very few people to break through her shell with a desire for her to open her heart.
Among the Hashira, Gyomei Himejima stands out as the Stone Hashira, with unmatched raw physical strength. Despite being blind, he maximizes his concentration through painful memories, making him a formidable fighter.
As Tanjiro pushed past the threshold of pain during this fight, he almost managed to kill Daki. The fuming rage that Tanjiro felt from seeing Daki destroy human lives helped him push past his limits while also making him bleed through his eyes in anger, resulting in his eye colors changing to bloodshot red.
8 Tanjiro Is The Only Living User
On the other hand, Sun Breathing can, presently, only be performed by Tanjiro Kamado. Though its techniques can be taught to others provided they have the guidance of a Kamado, there are no other known users who are currently alive.
Despite the intensity of his battle against the demon, he never manifested his Demon Slayer Mark, and undoubtedly did not even know the conditions for doing so.
Kanao is a youthful little girl that has large gentle eyes with irises that go from pink to lilac. She has long black hair tied with a butterfly pin fastened into a ponytail to the right side.
Sensing their despair, Doma offered a chance to him and turned both Gyutaro and Daki into demons.
In fan interpretation, Sanemi is often depicted as smitten with Kanae, and too frightened to make the first move, fearing she might reject him.
One fateful day, Kanae was attacked by a demon, which turned out to be Upper Rank 2 Doma. He did not have time to eat her, and left her fatally wounded and her injuries took her life as the sun rose. This left a big shadow on Shinobu and Kanao, even today.
