People wear tabs for various reasons, including as symbolic jewelry (like soda can tabs for luck or meaning in shows like Outer Banks), for practical purposes like temporary nail extensions using sticky tabs, or as part of charitable efforts where collected tabs are recycled for funds. Tabs can also refer to bra fastenings or digital tabs, but in the context of wearing them, it often relates to personal expression, good fortune, or charity.
The tabs are collected to be sold as scrap metal to raise money for the hospital transportation fund to fly kids in from all over the world for treatment. The tabs have value as scrap metal because they are pure aluminum while the rest of the can is not. Each tab isn't worth much but we collect a LOT of them.
Tabs allow you to hide content behind tabs until users choose to access it, ensuring a clean and uncluttered interface.
Once you have a collection of tabs, bring them over to our House to be recycled. Proceeds made from recycling these tabs will go toward helping care for families staying at the House, while their critically ill child undergoes treatment. So let's pull together- and get everyone involved!

Considered one of the most dangerous – and unhealthy – drinks, a Long Island iced tea doesn't actually contain any iced tea. Instead, it's a combination of vodka, gin, rum, tequila and triple sec, topped with sour mix and soda. All together, that means one Long Island contains as many as 780 calories.

When someone gives you a can tab, it means they have a crush on you. The shape of the can tab might have significance, too—if they hand you a semi-circle tab, it might mean they want to hug you, a rainbow shape with a hole means they want to kiss you, and a rainbow shape without a hole… well, you get the picture!
Sweden is the country famous for achieving an extraordinary waste management success, recycling or converting nearly 99% of its household waste into energy, meaning less than 1% goes to landfills, leading them to even import trash from other nations like the UK and Norway to keep their energy plants running. This remarkable feat stems from strong policies, advanced waste-to-energy (WtE) technology, and public participation in sorting waste into recyclables and fuel.
Oral exposure to aluminum is usually not harmful. Some studies show that people exposed to high levels of aluminum may develop Alzheimer's disease, but other studies have not found this to be true. We do not know for certain that aluminum causes Alzheimer's disease.

The weight of a can fluctuates with various brand designs, but they tend to be around a half-ounce per can. At an average of 56 cents per pound, that makes a single can worth about 1.8 cents. At that rate, you could make about $20 for about 1,000 cans (or 84 12-packs of 12-ounce cans).
Surprising items you shouldn't put in your curbside recycling include plastic bags, shredded paper, Styrofoam, greasy pizza boxes, coffee cups with plastic lining, batteries, clothes hangers, and ceramics/Pyrex, as they contaminate batches or jam machinery. Soft plastics, soiled paper, and small items like bottle caps are also common culprits that belong in the trash or special drop-offs, not the regular bin.
If you want to make $100 fast, you have several options, including taking surveys, testing websites, babysitting, selling unwanted items, selling plasma, cleaning houses or rideshare and delivery driving.
