Emma was at her nana's place (i.e. Rachel's mother's place) as she was to be brought to Paris after Rachel would go and set her apartment up. Rachel left her at her mom's because it would have been tough for her to set up her apartment, and take care of Emma at the same time.
Emma isn't actually seen again, but it's expected that Rachel contacted her mother to ask her not to take the infant to Paris. Theoretically, with Ross and Rachel back together, Emma's co-parenting arrangement has changed to include both of her biological parents, rather than just one.
