Carnage hit Shriek because she interfered with his plans, specifically by using her sonic scream in ways that threatened him or weakened the symbiotes, leading to Cletus Kasady losing control and trying to kill her in both the comics and the movie, viewing her as an annoyance or a liability when she didn't follow his orders. In the Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie, he attacked her after she screamed during their wedding fight with Venom, and later tried to strangle her for protesting his attempt to kill Anne Weying, showing his possessive rage and frustration with her actions.
For example, Carnage attempts to kill Shriek because of her sonic scream; which angered Kasady greatly.
Shriek's Relationship With Carnage
Once freed by Carnage, Shriek declares him to be her husband.
She became a drug dealer, which exposed her to situations that ultimately damaged her sanity; namely, being shot in the head by a police officer, and being put in Cloak's Darkforce, which awakened Shriek's latent mutant abilities. Shriek debuted at the start of the "Maximum Carnage" crossover.
Less emotional texture, more symbiosis of violence: Carnage (Cletus Kasady) is a homicidal symbiote-driven psychopath; Shriek (Frances Barrison) is often portrayed as a psychically unstable partner whose powers amplify aggression. Their interactions are frequently about mutual destruction rather than mutual care.
Sonic manipulator Shriek is commonly known as Spider-Man's foe, and as the sometimes-partner of Carnage. Born Frances Louise Barrison, it's believed that an unstable upbringing causes her frequent bouts of insanity. When paired with Cletus Kasady, her thirst for chaos is insatiable.
Carnage was red and stronger than Venom, Venom was also scared of Carnage because of his 'pure evil' ways and just being so violent. To note though Eddie and Venom bonded 'better' than that of Carnage with Cletus Kasady and Cletus was a serial killer if I remember rightly.
During a confrontation in a cathedral between the Venom and Carnage symbiotes, Mulligan was apparently killed by Barrison. However, he absorbs a piece of Carnage, which later revives him and causes his eyes to glow blue.
Originating as an offspring of Venom, Carnage is much more powerful than its parent symbiote because of the symbiotes' biology, and is in many ways a darker version of him.

Venom admits that “Flash Thompson, more than any other, is the host who taught [Venom] to be a hero.” Years prior, after having been separated from Eddie Brock and bonded with the Scorpion, Venom had fallen to his most villainous inclinations.
Due to the Carnage symbiote's unique relationship with Venom, Spider-Man is completely unable to sense that this is Carnage and not Eddie. Spider-Man only realizes it when the real Eddie calls out to "Peter" to get away from Carnage. The use of Spidey's real name is a detail that Carnage definitely notices.
When a symbiote offspring of Eddie Brock, AKA Venom, merges with serial killer Cletus Kasady, the result is the nightmarish murdering menace known as Carnage! Reborn from an alien creature, he's a more psychotic and dangerous being that spawns a family of symbiotes.
That same issue also showcases his fully-formed symbiote form when he finally bonds with Officer Mulligan during a fight with his father and grandpappy. During this fight, one thing became abundantly clear: as strong as Venom and Carnage are, Toxin is much, much stronger.
Agent Anti-Venom (Flash Thompson)
The Life Foundation accidentally pour hydrochloric acid on Venom, giving him a white appearance and new abilities, including intangibility. Venom escapes the Life Foundation and bonds with Flash Thompson, who uses it to become "Agent Anti-Venom".
A mercenary soldier, he played an important role in the series Deadpool; T-Ray served to remind Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, what a failure he was. He is Deadpool's archenemy for many issues and almost everything that happened to Deadpool was a part of an elaborate plan orchestrated by him.
Venom contains a massive amount of HP because of his role as a Vanguard. This is why Wolverine is the ideal counter for the symbiote since he can instantly rack up Rage. This will also boost his damage. If Venom ends up running away from a complex situation, Wolverine's Feral Leap ability can prevent him.
Only a few select people can withstand his seemingly endless talking, resulting in his mouth being sewn shut in the final act of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Ajax also threatens to sew Wade's mouth shut in Deadpool when Wade is undergoing (unconventional) cancer treatment because of his nonstop talking.

In the Ultimate universe, Venom absorbed the Carnage symbiote into itself and grew more powerful while Eddie gained more control.
While the Carnage symbiote is often bonded to Kasady, the symbiote is known to jump around to other hosts. For a time, he bonds to Normie Osborn, Norman Osborn, AKA Green Goblin's grandson. Carnage is psychically linked to the Life Foundation symbiotes through his parent symbiote Venom.
