Scalp fungus is treatable using antifungal medications, including: Griseofulvin. One of the most common medications used to treat fungal infections of the scalp is griseofulvin, an oral antifungal. You may need to use griseofulvin or another medication for four to eight weeks to properly treat the infection.
The first method is to dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil (as outlined earlier in this article) and massage into your scalp. If you have eczema, avoid using tea tree oil. Though tea tree oil may be effective for scalp psoriasis, it has not been proved to treat that skin condition. you should not self-treat, as tea tree oil can worsen rosacea symptoms.
Because tea tree is stripping, applying it without a carrier on dry skin could leave your skin irritated and itchy. Alternatively, you can also apply a few drops to fungal infections (which could creep up on toenails) or bug bites.
