Jaguars prefer to hunt their prey and land a quick, fatal attack on the throat.
Big cats like leopards and panthers sometimes kill and eat these big reptiles. Large snakes can also do a lot of damage to alligators and crocodiles.

Pantanal jaguars have been previously documented preying on anacondas, though bigger mammals like capybara, cattle, feral pigs, peccaries or giant anteaters (and caimans, of course) are more typical fare.
With its huge size and power, the lion would overwhelm and beat the jaguar. That doesn't mean the jaguar can't get away if it decides to retreat early in the fight. The jaguar is much faster than the lion, but it will still lose the fight.
