There isn't one single "leader of Shia in India" as Shia Islam has diverse leadership, but key figures include Aga Khan III (Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah) for Ismailis, a significant Ismaili leader in pre-partition India, and contemporary figures like Asaduddin Owaisi (political) and Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (Dawoodi Bohra spiritual leader), alongside respected scholars such as the late Maulana Kalbe Sadiq. Historically, Shia rulers in India (like the Qutb Shahis) also held significant influence.
