June 21, 2013: Surveillance camera footage shows 8-year-old Cherish Perrywinkle with her mother, Rayne Perrywinkle, and suspect Donald Smith at a Jacksonville Walmart the night Smith abducted, raped and murdered the girl.
They were obtained by First Coast News through a public records request. Smith is currently on death row after he was convicted of kidnapping, raping and murder of 8-year-old Cherish Perrywinkle back in June 2013.
“Some people say I was into human trafficking, I sold her for a gift card, I sold my daughter to (Donald Smith) for crack, I knew him, I had a relationship with him -- all these crazy stories that are not true," Perrywinkle said. “You can never stop all the hate.
