Sly Moore was the aide of Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine during the last years of the Galactic Republic.
Up to Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, Palpatine treats Vader poorly, and they very much have an abusive relationship. Darth Vader hates Palpatine yet is eager to please him, whereas Palpatine goes back and forth between acting as a friend and showing his hatred.
In fact, in this same scene, Sidious says he is keeping Maul alive because he has "other uses for you!" If Palpatine thought Maul knew he about his double identity, there's no way he would have let him stay alive.
How Count Dooku Planned to Betray Palpatine Before Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. For his short time as a Sith, Count Dooku was well aware of Star Wars' Rule of Two. In fact, he even planned on replacing Palpatine before Order 66.

Mace Windu surely struck fear into Palpatine during their epic duel in Revenge of the Sith, and 472 Star Wars fans think nobody else surpassed that.
