Queen Elizabeth II was spotted wearing some absolutely breathtaking pieces of jewellery during her 70-year reign. But in recent years she was rarely seen without one particular jewel. Following her sad passing, this has been passed down to her only daughter, Princess Anne.
Queen Elizabeth II had one of the most exquisite private collections of jewels in the world. The monarch, who died aged 96 on Thursday (8 September) afternoon, reportedly had approximately 50 tiaras in her massive collection.
The “lion's share” of Queen's extensive jewelry collection, according to The Daily Express, will be given to Kate, the new Princess of Wales, but, according to the outlet, Camilla will get first dibs. “The late monarch owned an extraordinary collection of jewelry worth billions of pounds,” The Express reports.

As with Queen Victoria's diamond and emerald parure, the Kokosnhik tiara is on display at Kensington Palace on long-term loan from the estate of the 3rd Duke of Fife.

Reported to have been initially created in 1767 and embellished over the years, the tiara was refashioned into its current design by Garrard in the 1930s and currently belongs to Diana's brother, Charles Spencer.
The Spencer Tiara, worn by Princess Diana throughout her lifetime, will be on display at a new Sotheby's exhibition.
