Thor has several major enemies depending on whether one is referring to Norse mythology, Marvel Comics, or the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, his most prominent and recurring foe is almost universally considered to be his adoptive brother, Loki, the God of Mischief.

Thor's particular enemy is Jormungandr, the enormous sea serpent who encircles Midgard, the world of human civilization. In one myth, he tries to pull Jormungand out of the ocean while on a fishing trip, and is stopped only when his giant companion cuts the fishing line out of fear.
Vidarr represents the strength of resilience and vengeance, showcasing his power through his actions during Ragnarok. So, who is the strongest Norse god? If we consider physical strength, then Thor takes the crown. However, if we consider mental strength, and magic abilities, then Odin is the strongest.
The One-Above-All
With the power to make or unmake anything, reverse, speed up, stop time, and reshape reality instantaneously, it's impossible to comprehend what or who The One-Above-All is. The One-Above-All is the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe.
Sif, goddess in Norse mythology known as the wife of the thunder god Thor. Her flaxen hair is thought to be connected to fertility and the harvest of grain. She is the mother of the god Ull (or Ullr), a deity of archery and skiing who is Thor's stepson.
Odin's *enemies* are, of course, mainly the Giants. Especially Fenrir, as Fenrir is prophesied to devour Odin at Ragnarök. Odin is also no longer a huge fan of Loki one can assume, as Loki tricked the blind god Hod/Hodr into killing Baldr, Odin's son.
Millions of years into the future, Gorr is resurrected through the Necrosword by Loki to kill Thor.
If we follow the generations listed and apply a simple average of ~30 years per generation, the timeline places Odin around 2,000 years ago—roughly the same era as Jesus. Of course, not all sources agree: Some traditions say Odin came from Troy nearly 3,000 years ago.
The "Marvel Big Three" generally refers to either Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor (especially in the MCU era) or Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Hulk (often considered the classic comic book trio). The first group represents core Avengers leadership, while the second reflects enduring popularity and presence across different media, embodying power, edge, and relatable humanity.
According to Marvel's official profiles, Spider-Man can lift around 10 tons under optimal conditions. In other words, Spidey can press approximately 20,000 pounds overhead – roughly the weight of a school bus or 5-6 average cars at once.
Familial Foes
Loki's greatest and most challenging foe is his brother, Thor. While Odin raises the two as siblings, envy drives Loki's desire to overthrow Thor. Loki frequently suffers defeat by the God of Thunder but is never discouraged from persevering in his efforts.
As Heimdall was Thor's best friend, Thor took his death the hardest out of the deaths of the Asgardians, surpassed only by the grief he felt for Loki, who died soon after Heimdall. Thor even vowed to kill Thanos after the latter killed Heimdall, despite having been incapacitated.
In a seismic change to Marvel lore, Thor - the God of Thunder - has been officially removed from the publisher's mainstream continuity. The hero is no longer considered a founding Avenger (with another hero taking his place) and has a totally new name and status quo not connected to any of Marvel's other heroes.
Before coming to the Void, Kid Loki had the same hatred for Thor and Odin, eventually killing Thor and causing his nexus event. However, he had come to open up and work alongside other Loki Variants, though he maintained a level of distrust and doubt, which was further raised after the Ambush at the Loki Palace.
Odin's son Thor, the hammer-wielding god of thunder and lightning, was tasked with safeguarding Ásgard. Since Thor was given the responsibility of keeping the stronghold of the Æsir safe, he was often regarded as the strongest of all the Norse deities.
Saxa's name refers to that of the giant Járnsaxa. According to Poetic Edda, the first book to be recorded by Völuspá (the seer's prophecy about Ragnarök), Járnsaxa was Thor's lover and had a son with him, Magni.
Thor is married to Sif and their daughter is Thrudr . Thor also has a son, Magni, with the Jotun Jarnsaxa, and another son, Modi, who's mother is not named but may be Jarnsaxa.
