Tommy starts out as a crime boss and leader of the Peaky Blinders. He soon grows to be the MP of Birmingham and a distinguished member of the Labor Party. Tommy thrives in intelligence and poise. He is ever composed and rarely makes the wrong decisions.
Thomas Michael Shelby OBE DSM MM MP is a fictional character, and the protagonist of the British period crime drama Peaky Blinders. He is played by Irish actor Cillian Murphy, who has won an Irish Film & Television Award and National Television Award for his portrayal of Shelby.

Peaky Blinders season 6, episode 5, confirmed that Billy was the one who leaked Tommy Shelby's assassination plan to the IRA. Billy meets his end at the hands of Duke, after Finn refuses, in the Peaky Blinders season 6 finale.

Named Charles "Charlie" Shelby, the young boy has been one of the few people Tommy has loved greatly in the series. He has also been a part of some heartbreaking storylines after losing his mother Grace Shelby (Annabelle Wallis) and also being kidnapped at the end of season three.
